Question:
I want to create a qtree, but the "new qtree" entry on the popup menu is disabled.
Answer:
There are two cases when the "new qtree" entry is disabled:
- If you try to create a qtree anyplace but in the root of a volume, the "new qtree"
entry will be disabled. To create a qtree, you should display the root of a volume
(by clicking on the volume name), and then right-click in the blank area of the main
window and choose "new qtree".
- If you don't have authority to create a qtree, the "new qtree" entry
will be disabled. To have the authority to create a qtree, you must either connect
to the filer with the "root" userid, or your userid must be a member of
Folderscape_ManageQTree_group.
