When I try to display a Windows LUN, I get an error saying I need a share. How do I add one?

For Folderscape to display the contents of a Windows LUN, there must be a share at the root of the disk on the Windows server.

Here's how to create such a share:

1. Go to the Windows server which is using the LUN.
2. Run Windows Explorer.
3. Right-click on the disk drive which represents the LUN, and choose "Properties".
4. Using the "Sharing" tab, add a share to the disk. (It doesn't matter what name you give to the share, as long as the share exists.)
5. Re-start Folderscape. It should now see the share, and be able to display the contents of the LUN.
